Whats on my needles
This hasn't changed much I'm still working on my test knit, I have had a few bumps in the road and dropped stitch that ran to far down. Had to start over. But right now I'm on the running end working up the leg I have three more pattern repeats and to the cuff and I'm done. Yea!!!!!
I am also working on Slippery Slope Socks by Chrissy Gardiner, it is a fun pattern and the yarn I'm using is by SockPixie, colorway Penette, 100% SW Merino. Its a great yarn to knit with.
Not much going on in the knitting front I know that I'm behind in my 52 pair plunge and need to step up the pace. I should be able to when I get this test knit done, they have taken longer then I thought they would.
The Garden is growing and I'm now having Bibbed lettuce and leaf lettuce, so it is coming along.Checked the Zucchini and the yellow squash and I have little one setting on. So I will be eating them soon. Green beans are in blossom, so in a couple of weeks I'll have more beans then I know what to do with.
The tomatoes, which I can't wait for are getting lots of green ones so they should be growing and ripening soon maybe sometime next month I will be in tomato heaven. To me vine ripen tomatoes taste nothing like the store bought ones. They have so much more flavor.
The Family is slowly arriving home, or arriving in Washington,
my whole family is scattered all over the United States. My brother is here now and is corrupting Chris, not that it is taking much to do that. But it is good to visit with him.
My sisters should be here this weekend and I will see them on Tuesday at the big dinner. Tony was going to cook it but he has to work his real job and guess who get the honor, right, me. The dinner is for 30+ people, Tony is going to do most of the prep for me so all I have to do is heat or cook the simple things. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Work has been busy, I know that it is vacation time, but I don't enjoy the long days 9.5 to 10 hour days is to long. Makes for a good paycheck but I lose out on knitting time. I'm just to tired to pick up the sticks. So I better go and pick up the sticks.
So till later keep your sticks aclickn'.
Happily knitting socks, Bye

What's Been Happening in My World
My World
The garden is growing. I can believe how much it grows every day. Seems like you can see it growing. I now have tomatoes on the vine now all they have to do is grow big and red. It will be BLT time soon.

If you look at the picture of the garden and past the corn field you can just see a raspberry field. (click on my flicker page and from there get the picture larger) That's what I did today. I went out with a friend and we picked 7 small buckets of berries. So here is a pictures of the fruit that I love. I can't believe how fast the field corn is growing, Monday it was just over my shoulders and today it was over my head. Now to decide what to make.
I've frozen 2 gallons of berries so far. Taken a bucket to the Chef at work and I have a bucket for the GM, then I'll ask for a raise. I wonder if it will work.
Woolgirl Joe Cool Kit I've frozen 2 gallons of berries so far. Taken a bucket to the Chef at work and I have a bucket for the GM, then I'll ask for a raise. I wonder if it will work.
This was a fun kit and Jen at Woolgirl out did herself. You had your choice of two different colorways for this kit, Cool Blue or Outrageous Red, I choose the Blue. The kit came with 2 different patterns, a sock project bag by Anna, Stuck in Illinois from etsy, Jeanann from Curly Brunette's Creations designed the stitch marker, a puppy paw. A Joe Cool pen , keychain, a set of Joe Cool cards made by Jen and some Cool Blue Mint Tomales. How could I forget a pair of sunglasses just like the ones Joe Cool wears. The Yarn is by Jana at tv yarn. The whole kit is a great one and she absolutely out did herself. I have signed up for the next kit which will be Woodstock. So if you love Charlie Brown and all his pals go over to Woolgirl and sign up.
The family is doing good seems we are all goig in our own direction and keeping busy through out the week. So till later you all just keep theose sticks aclickn'.
Happily knitting sock Bye.

Knitting and Around the House
Around the house sounds strange but it just pictures of around the house, some flowers I though might brighten your day, they do mine. And of course the garden and the tomato beds, they have all grown and have grown since I took the pictures two days ago. The daisy are in the front yard the flower bed that did my back in and the Tiger Day Lily is just under my bedroom window. As you can see from the last pictures my garden has grown. Now if it would just grow faster I want fresh veggies.
Now for my knitting and yarn.
Here's the picture of the yarn that I promised. The yarns are from the top to bottom:
Chamelon Colorworks - Bambino Taos - 30/60/10 - bamboo, sw merino, nylon 400 yds.
Lime & Violet - Shuanmi2 Sock - Antique Mall, 80 % wool 20% bamboo 425 yds.
Rio di la Plata - Kettle Dyed, SP04 evergreen, yellow corn, pionsettia, 100% sw wool, 437 yds/3 ply.
Here's a picture of my finished Spring Forward. I loved this pattern and will make it again it was fun and easy to memorize.
I also bought some more KIP bags which I love I can never have enough bags. The new bags came from http://rudawg.etsy.com/ . I love these bags they are so roomy and have pockets on the inside I can't wait to fill them.
I have decided to make up my sock bags with yarn and pattern I would add needles but I don't have enough for all the bags. So now I have a wall of bags just grab and go.
Well that's all for now leave me a comment if you feel up to it. I still need pattern ideas for my new yarns HELP me out.

Both my boys where there with their girlfriends so we had a good size group. Next year I will have to have a larger table. Maybe not so much food. I'll have too try to cut down.

WOW A New Month
I can't believe it's July and almost the 4th where has this year gone. Or am I just getting older and don't realize how fast time is flying by me. It just seems like the year just started and now it's almost over and I have to start thinking about my Christmas knitting will I make it or not.
I'm working on a test knit for Emily I have promised not to show you the pattern but here is a shot of the sole of the sock. I'm knitting it out of Louet Gems 100% merino wool. All I will tell you is that it is a fun pattern to knit and a must have when it comes available. While knitting at work the crew love this sock and wonder who gets it. So keep your eyes open for it.
Also on the needle is Spring Forward
I love this pattern a must knit for anyone. It will be the new must knit sock. Fun easy to memorize and knits up fast. It's my TV no brainer sock, one that needs no thought, you can just knit and not worry about it. The only change I made for this sock was that I used a Japanese short row heel. It's a fun heel and I think I can finally do it right without having to look up the directions.
I have been debating on my next projects I want to knit, my list contains: RPM for kitty I want to use some of my SockPixie yarn she has some unique colors schemes. I have the pattern Summer 2008 Socks, a pattern that was designed for Summer of Socks 2008 by Wendy D. Johnson. I want to knit Twined Hearts Socks by Phyll Lagerman. I need to knit up the sock yarn that I got from Woolgirl sock club. There is so many patterns I want to make and not enough time to make them. The only good part is that I do have enough yarn to knit them.
The garden is growing I will have vegetables this summer I can't wait. I had to replant some of the beans and corn but it is coming up out of the ground. With any luck and a little bit more sun I will have fresh vegetables. The tomato plants are doing great they are taking off and growing nicely. They are getting blossoms on them so I will have tomatoes.
Well that's all for now let me know your favorite patterns and I'll add them to the list. So keep those sticks aclickn'.
